Last Day in the Mission

Every six weeks we say "Farewell" to missionaries who are going home. After the morning Change Meeting, the missionaries who have completed their mission go to the Guatemala City Temple with the mission president and his wife. We then join them for their last evening in the mission. Sister Watts always prepares a wonderful feast--this time it was "Cafe Rio" pork with all the trimmings. After dinner, Rick meets with each missionary to explain details about their flights, airports, customs, immigration, luggage restrictions, etc. This seems to alleviate most of their concerns about their trip home. For some it is only the second time they have flown--the first time being their trip here. The missionaries also each make a scrapbook page for Sis. Watts, get their photo taken for a last time with the President, visit, swap photos, and just begin to relax! This group was unusual in that there were nine sisters returning home and only three Elders!
