Salama Temple Day
We live about 12 minutes from the Guatemala City Temple. Recently we attended there with members of the Salama Branch, who had begun their bus excursion at 3:30 a.m. They brought two ladies who were attending the Temple for the first time. One was the mother of the branch president, and the other was a young sister and the Relief Society president, but both are named Juana. Lynda was asked to be the escort for the younger Juana. Meanwhile, Rick was helping with the 25 Primary-age children they brought. He arranged for a member of the Temple Presidency to speak to them in the church building that is adjacent to the temple. By 2:00 p.m. they were back on the road for home, wanting to be home in time for the Relief Society broadcast. These are such sweet, dedicated Church members! By the way, note that Lynda is the tallest lady in the photo; the two sisters in the back are on a higher step.
