Fuego Volcano erupted here on Thursday last week. We wouldn't have even known about it, except a missionary couple living in Escuintla, about 12 miles from it, sent us some photos. Fuego is located about 25 miles southwest of Guatemala City. The ash blew south of the city towards the coast. Thirty thousand people were evacuated, but by Saturday things had quieted down and they returned home.
