Similar, but Different!

It seems that the Young Men need their games wherever they live! Unlike our buildings at home, very few of our church buildings here in Guatemala have cultural halls, but they all have basketball hoops. They are usually in the fenced-in parking lot, like the one shown here at the Salama building. Notice that the basketball standard doubles as a soccer goal, minus the net.
Even the San Pedro Ayampuc Branch has a basketball hoop in the courtyard of the house where they meet. Unfortunately, they have recently remodeled the building, creating a roof over part of the courtyard, and have moved the pila, a large water basin, directly below the hoop. That will mess up their game! And there is no parking lot to use as an option. We are the only people who arrive by vehicle, and we park in the courtyard inside the gate.
