The Guatemalan women...and girls...perform an amazing balancing act! We see this everyday! Women carry whatever it is they need to move from one place to another on the top of their head! Bundles, baskets, flowers, and water jugs. And they do it with such grace. We have sometimes seen women who have stopped to visit; they'll carry on a conversation, moving this way and that or looking around, but never losing their load. It would give me a headache...and a sore neck...and then my back would start hurting, too. But these women make it look easy.
